Collaborative Filtering

A technique for leveraging historical data about preferences of a body of users to help make recommendations or filter information for a particular user. Intuitively, the goal of these techniques is to develop an understanding of what may be interesting to a user by uncovering what is interesting to people who are similar to that user.
