Centralpoint provides ability to retain URLs when changes are made to avoid broken links from search engines.
Yes, Centralpoint employes a 'System Name' AND a 'Page or Link Name'. This means that you can change the name of any page, and the corresponding hyperlinks (to or from that page) will not be hindered at all. Additionally, you could change the naming convention of your URL Query, and/or how it is configured, and all pages (previously added) will remain in tact. IMPORTANT NOTE: Our Data Transfer tool is typically used when migrating old content, in unison with our DNS/URL, and Errors module, in order to maintain all previous 'old google indexed' links, into centralpoint, so that they may reroute to the old links. This helps to prevent the many years of indexing (with Google) from going to waste, and also helps to preserve any users 'old' bookmarks, so that they will still be functional.
